Milan Simply Chic

In the recent past I have been dying to re-create some of my favorite fashion looks. As a mother of twins and as also someone who is seemingly much older than I appear, it has become essential for me to adopt a more mature style while still maintaining a flirty and somewhat youthful look.

Last summer I spent three weeks in England and then another week in Paris. While there I was able to take in most of the influential styles peeking the youth's interest. One thing I noticed was that simplicity was key! Who would have thought?

Although this photo was taken in Milan, it encompasses the minimalistic chic look perfectly.
Now, let's see if I can re-create this look! Something so uncomplicated--a cream colored turtle-neck, ethnic print skirt and simple gold jewelry.

Halloween Party

Since moving in mid-june my fiance and I haven't really had the chance to have friends and family over to our place, not including the un-planned parent-watching-the-kids for a few hours thing.

So, what we've decided to do is to throw a Halloween House Warming!

I am certain I am more excited about this whole thing than he is. I can not WAIT to have people over, make tons of food, drink cocktails and then head out for the evening to a bar to celebrate some more. As of right now we are still in the brain-storming phase of our planning and I can not help but spend most of my recent days on Pinterest focused on how I will manage to cook and DIY everything!!

Nude Attitude

By: Becca

In the fall sometimes I try to grab the darkest colored clothing. Just like anyone else, mostly everything I wear consists of jeans, black, or brown. However, the other day I was feeling like getting dressed up and I threw this on in a 5 minutes to get out of the door. The top I actually found thrifting with my brother's gf and the skirt is a Christmas present from one of my besties! :)

Autumn Essentials

Autumn Essentials

I am totally in love with neutrals mixed with pops of color for this fall. My typical outfit in the colder months consists of tall boots, slim trousers and a colorful blouse. As you can tell from my selection I haven't strayed much. However, I think it is essential this fall to incorporate some form of color-blocking. For all you weary color-blockers (such as myself)--don't be afraid to play around with your look! It makes it a lot easier to mix and match with different colors and to not feel so wrapped up in wearing dark colors for the fall!
